Previous Terms with AMD:

"The plant will initiate manufacturing in 2010 and will allow AMD to increase manufacturing capacities by 50% when compared to expected 2008 level. The incentives offered by New York include a $500 million grant for construction, $150 million in R&D subsidies to be used over 5 years, and $250 million tax rebates", declared Preston Snuggs, AMD's vice president of logic manufacturing operations, for Reuters news agency.

One of the highest != The highest

NYS has some really good incentives for companies to create jobs for the area.

Good news for NY thumb.gif

Wish they would spend some money/time on the Buffalo area though, been talking about developing the waterfront for years. Throw some incentives over this way redface.gif

A:Because if the place is snowed in, employees can't leave, so the company gets lots of extra work out of its employees lachen.gif

Pretty sure the valley needs it way more than the Buffalo area. This place has been getting more depressed and smaller for what seems like decades.

Not sure what snow has to do with anything.

The CAVE people will never allow it. Citizens against virtually everything.

I tried getting student loans. The wouldn't do it. Father makes too much for any sort of assistance from say the state or private funds.

My friend get's completely free college anywhere in the country though because his mother is on welfare and he went to a public school for all of his life.... That is just not fair...

Buffalo area isn't exactly next door to Saratoga/GF fab.
