Need Suggestion for Photographer

Thread Starter

I have a co-worker that does photography on the side. Earlier this year I helped him replace his PC with a custom built PC. He uses it primarily for photo editing. He's in the market for a new monitor, budget is $700 tops. I don't think he needs that much, but I'm not a photo-editing pro.

Here's what I'm thinking of suggesting to him:

ASUS ProArt Series PA246Q

Will this suite his needs?

That monitor uses a PLS panel.

He should get the Samsung S24A850D Super PLS monitor instead. It's higher quality, more durable and has less reports of backlight bleeding issues.
