Big Typhoon--opinions and knowledge, plz - Page 3

I too noticed the concave centre...it took quite a bit of lapping to get it dead flat.

Shame they dont get it right from the start.

My CPU is over volted to 1.53v and almost a full 1Ghz overclock and load temps in summer are under 60Degc....got to be happy with that!

The Infinity is better than the BT, so is the Scythe Ninja, Tuniq Tower, SI-128, and the Ultra-120
Agreed. The BT was the best about but now has been superceded by more efficient coolers

There are more efficient coolers but I have tried both the Infinity and the Ninja and both increase the temperature of the motherboard. The Infinity by more than 5C and the Ninja by more than 7C.

All in all, I still think that the BT does a great job cooling the cpu AND the mainboard.

So for my taste, the BT is still better than the Infinity and Ninja. Each to their own though.

what about the tuniq tower 120? I have always heard raving reviews about that heat sink. shouldn't that work much better then the big typhoon? also how does it work with mb temps.

I'm at 32-38 depending on voltage so I know I have room to play with at least
