I'm trying to fit the following into a order...
Motherboard - Intel - Preferably an ASUS? I'm having the most difficulty here, I would like the option to use Crossfire/SLI. I also am new to this whole USB 3.0 PCI 3.0 SATA 3.0 Stuff. Whats the facts? Is it just a marketing gimmick, or a nice little extra? I really like the look of that Sabertooth board with the eye candy covering they dub as "Thermal Armor"... Silly i know, but it sure does look snazzy.
CPU - Intel i7 - I can spare the difference between the i5, I would rather be safe than sorry with the live streaming/recording/game play side of things.
All-in-one liquid cooling - I have my eyes on the Antec Kuhler 920... I'm just a bit of a fan-boy of Antec because I have their case, but the Corsair seems nice too. I don't know just yet.
Memory - I know that 4GB is the adequate amount. But I feel 8GB is more than enough for what i want. IT also is not a ridiculously pricey thing to get excessive with. 69$ for 8GB (2x4GB Vengeance Corsair RAM)? Not a big deal right?
Thermal paste... Because I am tired of buying garbage grade paste from a store brand (nexxtech i think its called) for 14$ and literally getting the same amount, I would brush my teeth with in 3 days.

CPU- get the 3770k
COOLER- if you really want a closed loop liquid cooler, get the corsair's, customer support is so awesome.
THERMAL PASTE- the preinstalled thermal paste is good enough, but if you want an extra, go get the arctic cooling MX-4
MEMORY- go get an 8gb, samsung ddr3 is the best of the best, and it's cheap, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096
MOTHERBOARD- i have nothing against sabertooth, if you want it then go get it, or asrock's if you want a little bit cheaper

sata 3.0 and usb 3.0 are awesome, pcie 3.0 is meh as of now, but its for future proofing.

Ok... Here is my cart...

Im worried about which cooler I get. A: Because of size (Antec 1200 as case)... I need it to fit. I really really dont wanna be prevented from enjoying my winter holiday because of the width from the cooler...

Corsair Vengeance Blue CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit

$35.99

Intel Core i7 3770K Unlocked Quad Core Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.5GHZ Ivy Bridge 8MB Retail

$369.98

Antec Kuhler H2O 920 Liquid CPU Cooling System LGA775/1155/1156/1366 AM2/AM3/AM3/FM1+ 2400RPM

$94.99

ASUS Sabertooth Z77 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 3PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard

$229.99

Arctic Silver 5 HIGH-DENSITY Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram

$9.99

Total... After everything... Even without shipping/insurance...

Subtotal: $740.94
No PST: $0.00
HST(12%): $88.91
YOUR TOTAL: CAD $829.85

My budget was under 1000$. I really wanted to end up at 700... But It looks like getting the i7 means it will not happen. It was either get a basic motherboard, or get the i5... Should I keep it this way and walk away with 100$ less, 100$ I could really use. Or... Go to the i5... And get 100$ back...

I just have no idea how big a difference the i5 and the i7 will be. I realize, that I will be able to get top notch gameplay from these two CPU's. Im just very concerned about the fact I will be recording/and or live streaming probably 50% of the time. Which could be up to hours or more.

I never did livestreaming, i just heard that it is very cpu intensive, but I do recording in 1080p 30fps using afterburner, and recording doesn't seem to affect my gameplay fps, although my 3570k is overclocked to 4.5ghz.

that antec khuler 920 will let you overclock your CPU to 4.5ghz or more.

If someone can tell me how to live stream, i might try to do it for you and see if my CPU can handle it.

No idea why you want that sabertooth. It's quite a hefty price for the thermal armour and less features than the normal Asus boards.

It was either the saber tooth or the pro version of the z77. I was really just after a more aesthetic look. Im used to some crappy looking brown thing with poor cable management. I thought it will look so cool to have just a flat black board everything is coming out of.

What features am I missing out on? It supports my CPU socket. It has crossfire/sli support, USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0. I don't need Wi-Fi. And even if I do. I would rather buy a third party router/modem instead of a mobo one that came with.

I don't see what I'm missing out on. Im literally spending 25$ more for aesthetics. Is there a better choice for me to choose from ASUS's boards? Because I am not seeing it right now...

Thanks.

If you have microcenter near you then you can get a good deal on a I5 3570k + Z77 mobo. Its a in store deal so pretty much when you buy it with the mobo. The cost of the mobo goes down by 40 dollars. IF you don't live near microcenter then get what you can afford.

Looks good to me!! I'd spend the extra 100$ for more futureproofing and less headache if the 3570k doesn't live stream and play well, are you reusing your graphics card?

Okay... The I7 ivy bridge seems the way to go. Simply because I need my processor to last minimum 3 years. It has to be 100% able to handle a 1080p/720p 30FPS/60FPS stream... I would rather be safe than sorry, it's something I can justify 100 more on...

The motherboard however I still am unsure. Its a 250$ sabertooth vs the z77 pro for 225$... This is 25 bucks were talking about, and the aesthetic aspect. I am leaning towards the sabertooth.

I literally am like 99% sure on this upgrade list now.

Go with Intel if you have the money, I just I just would like to point out that at 4.8ghz my fx-8350 is not bottlenecking my 7970 @ 1,200mhz in anyway.

Good Luck!
