Usb Hardrive For Bios Flashing

i have a laptop hardrive in a usb enclosure and i was wondering how to make it bootable like a floppy i dont have a floppy drive in any of my computers or any spare cds i will be flashing my 9800 pro to xt

this is a desktop computer with a laptop hardrive in a usb enclosure so i can have a portable one

Well to get it to Boot you have to go into the BIOS and Enable either ''Third boot device'' Or ''USB boot emulation''

You can make a bootable CD to flash with. I've done it with nero before. Try googling a bootable CD image.

EDIT: And be very careful flashing laptop cards as they are much different from desktop cards. I would imagine you're going to need a special bios designed for that exact model laptop for it to work, as well as possibly a special flashing program.

Well I wouldnt advise flashing an Onboard Laptop G-card as you will need the PERFECT bios for it..No mistakes to be made on this one..If it went wrong you may need a new motherboard/Laptop as you cant put a PCI card in there for backup to flash back.
