What brand HD 7950? - Page 2

I'd suggest the MSI cards, they always are well received and people seem to like them. Between the 660Ti and the 7950, they're both great cards but the new drivers from AMD boosts performance across the lineup of 7000 series cards about 15% so the 7950 is a better choice. Can't go wrong with either of them. Best of luck to you!

I'm torn between the MSI and Gigabyte models at the moment but the fact that the gigabyte models are voltage locked is putting me off buying it. Looking into the sapphire version now.

That's making me side with the Gigabyte again, the performance and 3 year warranty is appealing.

Well I've had my Gigabyte card for over a week now and I just came around to overclocking it and I can confirm my 7950's is voltage locked. frown.gif

do you want to try flashing the Gigabyte F3 bios which is the boost bios with higher stock voltage and 1 Ghz boost clocks.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1332004/gigabyte-7950-f3-bios-needed#post_18771526

what are your stable overclocks ? are you able to run your card at 1 Ghz at stock voltage.
