Hope Amstech updates his TechSpot bookmark biggrin.gif

It's well-known that Tahiti is faster than Kepler. Keep up the good work AMD thumb.gif

I did not get that part. Are you saying GTX680 is faster then HD 7970 when both are overclocked?

If you want to start comparing an oveclocked 680 to an overclocked Ghz Ed. then that's fine by me, but I think everyone here agrees that once both cards are overclocked, the 7970 Ghz Ed. is STILL the king. GCN overclocks better than Kepler.

The core of the card used in the review was a stock OC'd card that was clocked at 1130mhz in comparison to the 680's 1010mhz.

...Do I need to do some elementary math or are we understanding that this is not a clock for clock comparison?

The MSI lightning is also considered a stock card, btw.

Again, I have QUAD CROSSFIRE in my rig, I use 7970's I am NOT a fanboy.

I am a business owner and seeing a FAIR COMPARISON when the review states: "THE BEST GRAPHICS CARDS"; I expect to see them all not some biased, piss-poor representation of what is the best because regardless of ANY argument you're all capable of THEY DID NOT USE THE BEST AVAILABLE TO THEM IN THEIR REVIEW.

Thank you.

Yes you may, please proceed....

Would like to see you explain why the Ghz Edition, which is a separate and individual SKU from AMD is an overclocked card in this review.

Especially as it uses a different core code name too ( Tahiti XT2 )

bull****. the HD 7970 Ghz has a fixed boost speed of 1050 Mhz. the GTX 680 is guaranteed a minimum boost of 1058 Mhz but depending on the chip can boost anywhere upto 1110 Mhz. so stop with the incorrect information. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Where exactly are you seeing that the 7970 Ghz edition was overclocked to 1130 in this review?

Ik lol. Where did he get 1130Mhz from? GTX680 its almost 100% Boosted to 1100Mhz. 7970 Ghz is MAX 1050Mhz.

You're going to have to post your source on this one. I can't seem to find where they used anything other than a stock 7970 Ghz Ed. with 1000Mhz core clock and 1050Mhz boost clock.

You must be referring to this picture found here. http://www.techspot.com/mediagallery.php?f=603&sub=images&img=graphics-cards-2-big.jpg&full=true

The middle card with 3 fans is a 7950 sku. The one that is covered up has a different fin array than this card, which is the one you're referring to I'm assuming. Is that what you're using to say that the HD 7970 Ghz Edition is an overclocked model? I can't find anything else that says something different.

Found your comment here (you talk about being a business owner and Ferraris on there too) towards the bottom of the page. Can you please tell me how you came to that conclusion? I'm dying to know here.

Oh you seem to own everything you. Now you own 4x 7970's....rolleyes.gif

Btw if you own them, why do i not see your name in the dizzy heights of the OCN Top 30? Hmm....

And please stop with the "I am a business owner" etc etc, you seem to do this in every thread you post. Why do you insist on throwing that out there all the time? There's plenty of business owners on this forum and i don't see them mentioning in every thread. Throwing it out there doesn't make you right or your opinions carry any more weight than anyone else.
