for me why dont you try the close loop cooler form thermaltake....

*Thermaltake water 2.0 performer = 120mm x 25mm radiator

this cooler is better than H80 and also the price is lesser compare to H80

*Thermaltake water 2.0 pro =120mm x 49mm radiator(thicker radiator)

this cooler can perform same as the H100 performance and also lesser price than H100

*Thermaltake water 2.0 Extreme =240mm x 25mm radiator

this cooler is having a radiator thicker than H100,higher performance with the same price range i think....

Cooling performance.........the lower the better

noise generated.....decibels of each cooler.....
hope this will help.... thumb.gif

I would think long and hard before buying H100i. Corsair's track record of product quality and dependability, expecially in their Hydro series isn't good. H100/80 have had lots of pump noise problems. and new H100i has fan noise problems that updated USB firmware 'fixes' by speed up fan.. and now there are complaints of fans buzzing... Not to mention quality control issues and systems dying when installing updated firmware. Many H100i buyers are replacing fans and/or using mobo PWM fan control on H100i .. making even more expensive.

Myself I won't touch Corsair until all these issues are resolved and there are at least several months of history with no problems. wink.gif

OH! I would stay with your TRUE black. Maybe put some of the new TY-145 or TY-147 black/white fans on it. thumb.gif

Yeah I like my TRUE. I do have a gentle Typhoon on it.

I lapped it a while back and it performs well.

I'm just feeling the upgrade itch and wondering if there is better out there now.

As for the fans on the H100i or H100 I would probably replace them anyway.

I'm still on the fence about upgrading ...

There a few other CLCs out there. Not sure of their performance/quality compared to Corsair but don't see how quality could be worse. Nzxt is about to release new Kraken X40 and X60 coolers.

Hoped to hear Alpenfohn Everest cooler might be a Xmas release but doesn't look like it will happen.

Well, they are both the same kind of shiny black CPU cooler.

Both of those cars are really ugly, by the way.

Damn, that cooler is nice. Alpenfohn makes some great massive coolers.
