Good idea. However, to do this test 'properly', one would preferably only choose to increase the settings that are known to be 100% gpu-related. Resolution, AA/AF, and shader quality are such settings i.e. increases should strictly impact GPU load, which is what you're trying to do in this testing scenario. You have to watch out for some other settings, though. Things like 'shadows', 'draw distance', 'decals', 'corpse count' or 'physics' ... all these settings may impact the relative CPU load as well as the GPU load ... which could lead to a misdiagnosis of the problem thumb.gif
