After sleeving one psu with those sorry blue crimpers, the second with the MDPC crimper, there is just no comparison! I struggled with the blue one, the MDPC is smooth as butter and produces an excellent crimp every time.

One thing I had to do was get some socket head screws for the crimper dies, to keep them tightened down good. Other than that it's been all gravy.

There's really no comparison. Nil's sleeve and his crimping tool and other things he offers are the best around. Why anyone still uses paracord is beyond me. He also hand calibrates every crimper before sending it out (did you notice the already crimped wires in the box? Those are wires he crimped with the tool you just bought.) thumb.gif

It's either MDPCX, or nothing.

Hey! I like the looks of paracord biggrin.gif
I bought the tool so I could make my power cables the exact length. I'm planning on eventually building in an acrylic case. There is no way to hide extra length in there!!

On a side note, does anyone have a suggestion on a nice power supply? I'm looking for something understated and well built. I don't want a simple plain box, but something that when you see, it's plain that it's high quality... I have an itch to mod!!

I too actually like the look of paracord but man, Nils' products are the bee's knees!

Not sure what you are asking about power supply but Corsair, Seasonic and Silverstone all make some top notch units!
