I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, they are not the same. I know this because I have talked to Nils about it.

I don't think is a lier but why would he even say its the same even if it was? It would be just like saying to you" Hey this guy has the same crimper for a better price, go buy it from him please"!

i thought at some point the admin had removed all unrelated posts from this thread. this conversation is veering towards that again.

on a more logical note; Nils doesn't manufacture those crimpers, hence they exist somewhere else in the world.

Everything I have heard about Nils is that he is honest above all else, Although even if they were the same. I would still buy from Nils for the free crimps and the example crimps he sends, which he made from your own tool.

I dont think so, We are talking about the crimper and another similar tool and the difference between them, seems pretty on topic to me.

I think it's unfair to LutroO for people to be making this assumption when they have indeed never had both tools. I would like to see a side by side review to be convinced of this.

I'm not going to go simply off of a haters word.

I agree with your first statement, Not so much with your second. Im open to both tools as I will be ordering from both stores.

Lutro0 does a side by side thing on his store page:

This thread isn't about Mike's crimper, it is about the MDPC crimper. Let's stay OT.

The MDPC-X Crimper ONLY has optional black resin handles --- SAME frame / SAME die set

The blue resin handles function in the same manner --- absolutely NO difference.

There are now several online distributors.
