Back in the swing

Hey guys - It's been a long time since I posted and, what with my need of parts going up, I should have posted more in the past so that I could use the classifieds section more efficiently! So, I'll stat with this one!

I am coming back into the game after a few years. Back in the day when the 9800 GTX OC was released I stepped up my PC and bought what was best for the time. Needless to say that is lacking now days. I built a secondary rig, sold the primary and here I am now running a 9850 Phenom 1 Quad Core on 4 gigs of DDR2 and a 260 GTS EVGA card. The system can handle most anything I put it through from Crysis 2, DayZ, WoW, Guild Wars 2, etc - but I know it struggles. I currently have it clocked at 3.5, stable, using AMD Overdrive and cooled by a Corsair H50 which sits it rather low in the temp scale. She has a -little- umph... but looking back on the specs of that processor now I just wonder why I didn't wait on the Phenom II.

Anywho, Today I purchased an AM3+ Board so that I could move into the FX cores later on, a Phenom II X4, 16gb of 1600 Ripjaws, and here I sit hoping for the best. Now.. that leave me needing a new card.

So, with a little insight and keep in mind that I am -not- looking to build a beast of a computer (most of my money goes into my cars) - what would you recommend over the 260 GTS? I mean, the little card is doing fine with absolutely no issues and a slight clock through VGA precision, but nothing amazing at all. She's been going for about 2 years now and I think it's almost time to move on. Looking at the new release cards I'm thinking "Man, there are so many in between that I've missed I don't know where to go." So hopefully someone here can fill me in.

I do a good amount of gaming and I DO love my graphics. EvE is a big one. So how about going over some cards with me, discussing some differences, and helping me decide on one? I'd like to keep the price range.. say...anywhere from $75-$150 used. smile.gif Remember - Just a budget PC.

For $140 i would get a GTX 650Ti. i would suggest a Radeon HD 7850 on sale for $150, but they are out of stock.

I read a few reviews on that and am under the impression at the 650 isn't very suited for gaming?

I've also come to notice that cards like the 560's are available in droves. Are they worth their cost? Or might I be better off running a pair of 260s?
