Their dual cooler 7970 / 7950 are amazing. Mine idles at low 50's and barely hits 65 with 2 cards in.

Lucky guy... Or am I the really unlucky one? Look at my horrible temps while playing PlanetSide2 for like an hour or less:

I swear I'm gonna go nuts if I don't get a new card till next week or the next next week!

I KNOW! But the guy at the shop said that the temperatures go very high because it is already overclocked but man 90 degrees on 90% fan speed there is something wrong! I'm sure of it!
Also he said that I can send it to them and if they don't find a problem with the card I have to pay the fees and get the same card back. So I don't want to just send it and get nothing. I want to be sure. I'm gonna play some games today and leave the fan on 30 or 50% and if the temps go up to 95 or more he HAS to return it!
I already sent an email to Sapphire about that and asked them to confirm that there is something wrong with the card so the guy will return it for me.

Ive got mine right now at 1100/1400 with out issues. However mine is liquid cooled so my temps don't count if you have yours on the fans. Right now my idle temps are around 25*C and 100% about 46*C. love those full coverage waterblocks.

get tough with sapphire. tell them you specifically bought the sapphire hd 7950 for its low temps and good cooler. and that the temps are horrible and the noise is terrible.

in most reviews the dual x cooler keeps the HD 7950 at 900 mhz below 60c. so definitely there is a problem.
