New Antivirus Woes

Thread Starter
Hey all ...

I know this topic has probably been beaten to death with many blunt instruments but still ... I need advice, especially with the 2013 editions of many antiviruses coming out/already out

I have been using ESET NOD32 for quite some time now and have really not had any problems with it ... The interface is pretty easy to use and blocking certain sites or folders from being scanned etc is extremely simple ... BUT ... I have noticed a few sites claiming that Kaspersky 2013 destroys Nod32 Antivirus 5 ...

I know there are other great free options as well ... but I am not afraid to pay if it gives me better results and system performance impact should be minimal regardless (8gb 1600mhz and 2500K@ 4.6) ... but lets try get the best all rounder...

What are your suggestions ?

All information would be greatly appreciated,
regards.

I still recommend NOD32 and ESET for the reasons you are still using it.
Kaspersky comes in second for me.

I have to get a new license as mine expired

So I am looking at all my options to see which is the best of the best ...(or close to it) ...

There is a metric ton of antiviruses out there and more info on them than I could possibly read ... lol ... that is the "woe"

Just get Microsoft Security Essentials and be done with it, it's free, it's fast, virus definitions are updated regularly and it doesn't get in the way, what more could you possibly want? thumb.gif
