Small rig for realflight 6

Hey, everybody. I would like to put together rig for my dad to play realflight 6 on in order to practice piloting rc planes. I would like the computer to be as cheap and bare as possible as he is not much of a computer person, so would'nt use it for mush other than flight training and some web browsing. Would integrated graphics be enough] to play this game maxed out, possibly at 1080p? If not, what would be the cheapest gpu that could handle the job. and of course the final question is a good small case, as i wouldn't really want it to take up much room in the room it would be in. I dont know much about small systems so i thought i would post here. thanks for any and all input.

Doesn't seem to require anything extreme in the way of hardware. Perhaps you can get a more specific answer if you contact the manufacturers to see which graphics card they suggest for smooth play at 1080p.

yeah, it said it only would only require a 512mb card, which seems like th intel hd 4k would be more than capable. this machine could possibly become a flight sim/htpc though, if my dad decides against a monitor and decides to play on his massive 70 inch tv. Whicxh in that case i am not sure if the integrated graphics could handle it.

I think you're confusing inches with how many pixels it has. Most TVs, however big the outside are still just 1080p, meaning they are just as easy for the GPU to drive as a standard wide-screen monitor.

The HD 4000 is Ivy Bridge, models start around $130. You're looking past the cheaper options. Since the game requirements list only dual-core CPU, then you could look at previous generation CPUs and spend the saved money on a discrete GPU. For example the Pentium G860 is $75 and the PowerColor AX6670 is $60. So you've got 3x the graphics power as with the integrated for much the same price.

Then you've got to decide how important is the size of the case, compared to the cost. Case size is in turn important for motherboard form factor, where you'll also see varying costs.
