Since a mod will probably delete your other post...

It probably is especially your RAM size... but this may depend on application. Best way to test is do a benchmark run. Overclock your processor by 10% and repeat benchmark. If you see a drastic, non-linear increase.... then it is a yes.

To help your memory performance, do you have more than one HD? Your system is definitely using some virtual memory. If you set the paging file on a physically seperate non-OS HD, you will see some performance improvement.
Once again...

RAM doesnt Directly Bottleneck a G-card but Overall Performance in an APP or GAME.

Actually you will find that the main Bottleneck in your system is your CPU and HDD. The HDD no matter what you do will always be a bottleneck as HDD reading times are alot longer than off an IC.

The CPU would be my best guess. I was getting 60FPS max with my 7800GT when I had a 3200+. Then, when I upgrading to the X2 4400+, I was getting a frame rate of up to 100 FPS! I would say your processor, definitely.

I have an xp2400+ 2x256 simpletech valueram pc2100 and a radeon 9800 pro 128 mb...I was getting a good 25 fps in gtr2 in ****pit view. I bought a ati x850pro unlocked it to 16 pipes, overclocked it, got 2x512crucial , overclocked the cpu to a 2600+ and I barely gained any fps. About 5 fps gain average. And i lowered the case temp by about 5 degrees too. What am I missing. I was really hoping for 10 fps out of the whole upgrade. I'll take any suggestions, although I have been reading and reading how to tweak this and that and optimize this and that. I have heard that people get 2400+mHz out of an xp2400+. I have my FSB set to 147/147 which equals 2202mHz, when I try 150/150 it locks up. Thanks all, and Happy Turkey Day...(gobble gobble)

X850pro isn't a great card for the games of today. that CPU is old, might want to try a 3200 and OC that at least. also is your PSU big enough? (probably is though since that hardware doesn't require much power)

Not sure how big of a cpu I can install now that I changed the bios yesterday. I think I should be able to get at least 2400mHz out of my cpu, but how do I unlock the multiplier? i was thinking 200mHz x 12 would be alot better. I have 147 x 15 now.
