I went from a Nokia E71 to a HTC Wildfire S.. I liked the touch screen at first due to just having a bigger screen. I do still love and miss some features of the E71 that the Wildfire doesn't have. I kind of wish Nokia make a good new E71. Unfortunately Symbian is rubbish and I prefer Android also, I don't think QWERTY phones will ever come back.

My Nokia E71 and myself went through some adventures, getting constantly taken by my friends reading all those messages etc. Me raging hard at something and throwing it at the floor as hard as a could. It only scuffed when I slept on it and it fell off a double bed. Other then that it's like new still, apart from not charging and the battery being dead. (Quite probably linked)

I'd buy a Nokia slider with Android if they made it. - Like a sideways slider, I do like Samsung right now though.
It's also the longest phone that I've had, my other Nokia lasted a year (Nokia 6085?) and before that I had my parents old 3310's and upgraded quite soon. I had a Samsung slider (basic phone) for about 7 months before the screen just stopped working.

Yeah, kb ftw!

I have a Droid Pro, which I don't particularly love, but it's good enough.
I'm looking to replace it with an x86 phone, like the Orange San Diego, if they manage to install Win 8 on it (desktop flavor, the real thing).
It'll be sad to not have a kb though, but well.
The world is pretty bland these days, and fell for the trendy touchscreens. So a physical kb would be a no go for the hipsters I guess...

Seems as though I'm not alone! I'm rocking a Blackberry Bold 9900. I bought it the day it came out back in Nov '11, and for lack of a better description, It's "been down through there" and hasn't missed a beat. Thrown at walls, slept on every night. It's fallen 25 feet into the pit at my job, and the phone call was still active! I can type so much faster with it, and grease on fingers doesn't agree with a touch screen, so this was my best option.

I have got that thing, whenever it comes to an upgrade and I am searching the market asking questions different mobile network representatives about QWERTY phone, their eyes become like £2 coin and with a bit of confusion they start walking way, thinking what is this guy going about? Some of them just tell me that QWERTY phones are from the previous era and some of them say that I need to move on... I do not want to move on, I hate touch screens! I mean they are fine, but just as an addition to QWERTY keyboard.

ditto

my fingerpad's don't work well on capacitive screens, i went with a g2 for a little while, didn't like it in the lease.

If you have the extra funds and a friend in the states, they can purchase it unlocked for you.

I enjoy touchscreen, but really dispised and still kinda do, touch keyboards. But a very large screen + swype or my s-pen definitely help. I really wouldn't mind the extra bulk of a physical keyboard tho. I do, however, wish it could be a dvorak keyboard vs qwerty.
