Need Help Choosing a New Phone

Thread Starter
My contract is up this Christmas and I will most likely be retiring my iPhone 4 and getting a new phone. I really want to try out Android. Right now I'm deciding between the HTC One X+ and the Galaxy SIII. I like the GSIII's ability to remove the battery and add an SD card, but those aren't deal breakers for the X+ for me.

Which phone would you suggest if you were to get one? Any other good contenders?

How about the galaxy note 2? Very popular choice and it's a great phone. There is also the DROID DNA which just came out and has the fastest phone benchmark scores plus the highest res phone screen. The only problem with it is that the battery life is pretty bad.

Onex + is a very solid phone too, along with the s3.

But personally I would go for the galaxy note 2

Nexus 4 maybe? really cheap and great performance not to mention updates first, you might not like that it doesnt have a removable abttery but if you like messing with your phone and what not, id stay away from HTC One X+ or w.e had the Amaze big fail imo sticking with google from now on S3 is a great choice and developers will always support it (as there has been success with its predecessors) good luck

Another vote for Gnote2, or wait to see what is announced.

The Note is way to big for my tastes. I already find the GSIII and the One X+ a little on the big side.

I like the Nexus 4, but only coming in 8 and 16 GB flavors with no room for expansion kills it for me.

Well the trend in phones is being a larger screen size, so I would try to get used to it smile.gif

I would sooner buy lower end phones or older phones before I bought a phone with the overall size of the Note 2. If I wanted to walk around with a tablet next to my head I would just grab a tablet......
I agree, those phones are too big. I think the S3, 920, etc are all plenty big as it is. It is something I want to comfortable fit in my pocket, not carry in a bag..
Not to mention I think a phone should always be able to be used with 1 hand.
