one is running the nvidia chipset, the other is running ati's chipset. Also its the newest ati chipset, the 965. If you want SLI on the newest nvidia chipset that is sli capable look at a 680i mobo.

The p5b is crossfire ready if i'm not mistaken. You should go with a gigabyte 965P DS3 which will be cheaper And forget sli for now, that way you can invest in a better graphics card. You should try and get a 7600gt or something. There's not much point to have two 7300gts in sli

What should be changed, 600€ max budget.
Would i be capable of building his rig, and win some bucks?(would be my 1st time, and i would practice with my old rig)
Thanks...
Main thing is I don't know where your getting those prices from. Maybe we could save you some money and find same stuff for cheaper. I just don't know the conversion. Because I would really like to see that graphic card get updated. Yea sure direct x 10 is right around the corner. But the games for it really aren't going to be here for awhile.

Thats why I asked if we could have the budget in $USD and the prices, so we can compare and find the best configuration.

I have already got the prices in dollars....

Don't worry about crossfire/sli 1 new graphics card will beat the old ones. The p5b can run modded sli but it is 16x and 4x so there will be a performace hit. I believe that the 1600pro overclocked edition with GDDR3 will beat a 7300GT. The 1600pro overclocked edition from sapphire is only 99$ usd, but dunno if you can it for the equivalent of that in Portugal.

If your friend is willing the 1600pro can be volt modded with a pencil to get some nice clocks.
The 7600 series from Nvidia if very good if you can spend the extra cash. It can also be volt modded and is quite a bit more powerful than a 7300 or 1600pro.
