I've talked to him , yeasterday, and asked if he was a gamer, he said he would be playing some games ,but stuff like rpg's , he's not much of a fps's player.
Edit:
I also tought of a possibility, buy him now a pentium D 805 wich would be very very cheap (100€), and save for upgrades in the future(DX10 card , and cpu upgrade when needed).

I'd definitely spend more on a good, well-known PSU. And the PD805 would be OK.. it would offer a fair bit of performance.. nowhere near as much as the E6300 though.

Ill advise him the D 805 then, he likes overclocking anyway!
About , the psu, he said and i quote:
" I just need a psu that won't burn itself!"

Full post edit(sorry!):
I've talked to him , and because he really likes music, he has decided to go with the D805 and upgrade when needed.
I've also found a Gigabyte DS4 at the same price of the normal P5B , is it better?
For sound editing, amateur, wich would be a good sound card? The X-fi extremegamer? or would a Soundblaster 4 be more bang for the buck?
If he likes gaming RPG, he's going to need a beefy card a FPS wouldn't have much use for. Ring out Oblivion vs CS:S. His GPU needs to be potent.

And if it's between the NORMAL P5B, not Deluxe, and the DS4, I'd go DS4.

For Sound Card, go for an Audigy 2, unless he's an extreme Audiophile (Which I doubt). If he wants a X-Fi, the music version would be more bangs-buck on IMHO.

EDIT: This would be my build

E6300
Gigabyte DS4(No SLI in the future, just go for a 8800GTX or GTS, better than SLI)
Kingston 667mhz CL5
Xpert Vision 7300GT GDDR3
LC PowerSilent 550W
His current 80G HD(IDE)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

Just noticed this:

Please do NOT create multiple threads on the exact same topic. Apart from getting confusing, it is also spamming, which is against the TOS.

Also, you cant say he doesnt need a decent graphics card because he plays RPG's.

Graphics needs vary with the game, not with the genre

Oblivion would need more graphics power than BF2.

Yet Runescape would need nowhere near as much power as BF2. Get my point?

Don't get a 7300, you'll regret it. Get atleast a 7600GT
