[NVIDIA] 310.64 Beta Drivers - Page 5

seems like still not the nvidia-like drivers we're used to. personally I have zero problems with these drivers but that doesn't mean it will work for everyone else
post #42 of 96
So far so good with this driver. The good news is there is an SLI profile for Black Ops 2, and better dual gpu usage for BF3. Previously I was getting 50-70% gpu usage on my 690 in BF3, and it is now mostly 85-95%.

Ever since the 12.11 drivers have been released I see nothing but AMD fanboys trolling every nvidia driver thread stating that Nvidia is "struggling to keep up by constantly coming out with beta drivers." Nvidia has ALWAYS done this to ensure good performance with the latest game releases.

sad but true. nvidia IS getting pressured and everyone knows it. amd has done one helluva job with the 12.11 drivers and nvidia is struggling to keep up with it hence crappy driver releases

wat

Everything in the post you quoted is saying that NVIDIA is NOT being pressured. This is just NVIDIA being NVIDIA and quickly supporting new games with beta releases. They've always done this.

wanted to quote his post with the one he quoted apparently it doesn't work that way lol

I just say it the way I see it man. we're getting subpar releases with the drivers because they want to catch up with the performance numbers. if catalyst 12.11 never existed we wouldn't be having as much issues with a normal "nvidia-like" driver release. mind you I'm experiencing zero problems with 310.54 and 310.64 but I can't say the same with the previous ones. they were terrible for me
post #47 of 96
With all honesty at the period I owned the GTX 670 I never encountered any problem with Nvidia drivers even the beta ones. I tried 310.33, 310.54 & 310.61 all of them worked great for me (Single card).
And I am 100% sure I won't encounter any issue with this 310.64.
Most people who have problems it is either a user error or unbalanced system specs, or they just want to troll Nvidia Driver threads to spread their nonsense.
It could be even an unstable overclock... But it is pretty easy to blame Nvidia and drivers for everything rolleyes.gif ...

We should also note that AMD releases Alphas, Betas, and developer previews all the time. I ran two 7970s for a while before my 670 and no problems with betas from either AMD or NVidia.

Everyone who keeps saying NVIDIA is trying to keep up with AMD's drivers need to quit trolling. NVIDIA is just being themselves and releasing new drivers, AMD fanboys just saying that so they can feel good about their purchase. Well guess what, no matter what AMD releases, NVIDIA will always be ahead 10 times better. You compare FPS to stutter. I used to get about 10-15 more FPS with the 7970's then the GTX 580's but that is not what I wanted, so I went back to NVIDIA< and never switching to the RED EVER AGAIN. Their drivers are terrible and their BSOD's get me angry. NVIDIA WILL ALWAYS WIN!

Anyone else getting instant crashes with these drivers? All of the 310 betas crash me back to the desktop instantly when I try to run a game. I can't even run GPU-Z, it gives an application error and won't even load.
