I tried these drivers but in BF3 and AC3 I kep getting constant crashes so I rolled back to 306.97 and haven't had a problem since.

Anyone who complains about crappy beta driver releases is wasting oxygen. If you use that as an excuse to jump ship, you are even dumber. No one makes you upgrade any of your drivers to a beta, so kindly cut the whining and fanboy behavior, people.

And anyone who says it is all user error that people encounter issues when you don't are equally idiotic.

Very true. I never understood the beta-hate, since 2 very beneficial things are going on with them... 1) Instead of having to wait for a new release's good performance in the WHQL release, we get that performance the day the game is released (or in this case, with Far Cry 3, before release). 2) The other main reason for beta's is because we are testing the drivers, helping by reporting problems, making the next driver release that much better.

So when someone comes in here and pokes fun at the fact that beta's are constantly being released, they simply showcase how much they really comprehend it smile.gif

Going to give this a try... I've tried the last two or three beta releases and I had almost instant crashes in BF3, even with stock clocks. I can play for hours on end without issue OC'd with the 306.97 drivers, however.

Not confident this is going to be any better. I get good frames, for the two minutes that I could actually play. I wonder why so many people are having issues (BF3 specifically) and why so many others are just fine...? Weird.

I'll edit this after trying.

EDIT - This driver crashes for me almost instantly when I get into game. This sucks. I wish I could use one of these new drivers, the improvements are nice but stability is a must for me!

This driver gives me problem with aero keeps getting disabled and wireless won't work everytime it does. Was using 306.97 WHQL, no problem at all. Pity, this driver gives performance boost for farcry and hitman but i had to roll back frown.gif Btw BSOD occured to me once while using this driver.

Thread Starter
I've been playing all my regular games and still have had no crashes. The fps is a lot steadier though.

Will the old drivers, my fps would jump around in BF3 so I'd be over 100 and then done to 70 etc, but now it's at around 80 fps and steady. Kinda like vsync for the 80s.

Overall, it's increased my performance and I'm happy.

SWTOR seems stable with these except for some artifacting around the edges of the screen during zoning/loading screens.

I hope their R310 WHQL is going to be great.

Do you get Windows Desktop Manager crashes as well?

Same problem I have - Aero crashes on startup, and games crash as soon as I launch them. I can't even run GPU-Z with the 310 betas without it crashing.
