Need help to upgrade my i5 2500k build - Page 4

Firstly, when you run Intel Burn Test, running it on Normal is next to useless. It doesn't use up enough ram to see if a clock is close to stable. Make sure it is on Very High if not Maximum.

With an H100 properly installed you should be able to run 4.8GHz all day, however there is no way that thing is stable @4.8GHz @ 1.040v. Also, since you took the screenshot after the test ended, we cant actually see what the load temps are. rolleyes.gif

i change the voltage manually to 1.490 v and i past the standard intel burn test

i will continue testing on these voltage on prime95 for 12hr and to see if it stable

You can easily see the maximum temps on the RealTemp screenshot.

See if you can get the voltage down to 1.45-1.46v and see if it's stable then. Temps are pretty good though.

At 1.490v you should be able to run @ 5.0GHz. Not that all chips are the same, just means if you need that much volts to hit 4.8 you have a pretty sub-par chip.

True, except I'm looking for real time temperatures. Not necessarily the maximum that it has hit.

I Agree! i run mine at 5Ghz @ 1.464V... He should try to see if he can run at lower voltages.. just the save the life spam of the Cpu

That's really good, I would go for 5.3/5.4 if I were you.
