So i do have an Amd cpu...
The op of this thread Needs to hold onto what he has and save $$$ for a Haswell i5... And yes Z77 is a new chipset... But Intel is giving us another all new chipset next year.. they do not keep re using Dated tech like buying used tires.
Id rather buy a whole new chipset every year instead of keeping a Dated chipset for 3 years plus.. but that is my Opinion i like new features.
And sometimes Amd people do wonder into the Intel section 50% of the time with in a month there using an Intel system..

Dated chipset? 990FX supports everything Z77 does except what PCIE 3.0? lol current cards don't even saturate 2.0, what other feature does Z77 have that is a benefit to modern gamers? elaborate please.

Also, Intel is not doing you a favor by releasing a new chipset every 6 months, they are just suckering people. The only thing on the Z77 chipset worth anything is the lucid logix which is hit or miss most of the time.

990FX has all the important features gamers need or want. not sure how that's dated but ok....

Oh and lets see this proof you own a AMD system.

Under normal use pci-e gives 1-2 % performance.. Add 3-4 gpus it adds quite bit.. super high res adds to..

Also i love the fact of getting anew chipset every year you can still sell the one u had before for a decent price..
so moving to the new one is not expensive at all.

lol, all those feature gamers use right? I know I always wanted bluetooth 4.0 while im playing crysis. rolleyes.gif

Oh and nice cherry picked graphs. lachen.gif

Here is the complete review of a GTX 680 which is a high end GPU and it shows almost no difference.

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/07/18/pci_express_20_vs_30_gpu_gaming_performance_review/8

Your not fooling anyone bro we already seen all the reviews of PCIE 3.0

Also, wheres the proof you own a phenom x 6? all I seen was a old pic of a box of a AM3 board on a different forum lol?rolleyes.gif

With 3-4 it adds ALOT MORE... when u saturate all the PCi-e lanes pci-e 3.0 bandwidth shines.
Box says Am3 Amd on it and the is a picture of a graf for a 1055t in it..
And if u check my profile on OCN my first post ever was how to overclock my 1055t rolleyes.gif
Blue tooth devices? i can OC my computer VIA my Ipad thru VIA blue tooth.

You use overclocking software....you just lost all credibility.

Also, you said you currently own a AMD six core, not you once upon a time owned one. I just asked for proof you still own it. Its irrelevant, but I just wanna call you on a lie.

So to sum things up if he plans on going tri fire GTX 680s then get Intel, well I sure hope so. Anyone with that amount of money should definitely go Intel, but thats not what this thread is about now is it?

You do realize that ALL of those features (with the exception of PCIE 3.0) are board-dependant, and not chipset dependant, do you?
