Hello Guys...i Am New In The Forum And I Want To Overclock My Asus Ati Eax1800xt. You Know With The Box That Has The Hero From Quake Game.......ok.......my Card Edition..is Normal...and I Have Tried A Lot Of Times To Overclock But Every Time My Computer Shows Me Black Screen And Stacks.....and My System Is Top.........

Ok What temps does your card reach when you overclock / When playing a game ?

Also are you using ATI TOOL to overclock ?

yes of course i use ati tool but i cant use it because i dont know how i can do some things.......and i dont how i can found the temp.......

Ok Well within ATI tool go to ''Settings'' The in the Drop down menu at the top select ''Temperature monitoring'' and enable it..Then at the main Window of ATI tool your temps should show up.

Being an X1800XT owner myself, use RivaTuner. It's the ONLY thing that seems to work without crashing my system.

i have the 0.24 ati tool and riva tuner v2.0 rc 16

GPU(min/max/avg) is 70-71 temp points in celsium..
GPU enviroment 55-56 temp points in celsium...

Ok Well adding an Overclock to those already built up GPU temps will add abit more heat which cold lead to such issues you are having. Have you perhaps looked into some aftermarket cooling for that card.

you think that i need a new cooler for vga??? i believe that the reason that has big temp is that i have down of vga card in the next pci my sound card and those are very near....you think it is correct that??
