Has anyone here ever used a lcd tv for a monitor? - Page 3

I'm not saying you should go Plasma or even recommending anything. I just wanted to rebut what some have said about Plasma burn in and high electric bills. I use a Panasonic 42" Plasma for my HTPC and I watch a lot of Hulu and Netflix and I have a Infini4 TV tuner card. I have no issues and the picture is clear except with Hulu. I have a program called Dream Aquarium, which is a virtual fish tank, that I run if the system is going to be idle for any length of time that I'm not watching TV. Never get burn in. There is some heat coming from the screen but I run the air conditioner a lot to keep my gaming PC temps lower so I never notice the room heating up. I switch back and forth from TV to gaming PC across the room because I get bored easy, both PC and HTPC are usually always on while I'm at home. But my electric bills are avg. $80 a month which I don't see as bad considering everything including the washer and dryer, dish washer, microwave, fans, lights, frig. etc. I don't see any issues with Plasma TV's been used as a monitor.

1. i cant read nomel Text on it so surfing the net is a pain in the ass
2. a LCD is not made for gaming so nothing beat a PC screen

i have no problem about movies not even in Fuld HD
i nomal have 2 screen a LCD TV about 30 inch +- and a good pc Screen but i got hold
of a pc more so now i use it as my HTPC and i use my LCD TV on it
