Hello everyone I am new to the forum and this is my first post.

I just built my first ever custom pc and here are the specs:

Intel Core I7-3770k 3.5 Ghz Quad-Core
Antec Kuhler h20 920
EVGA super Clocked Signature 2 Ge force GTX 680 2gb
G.Skill Ares Series 16gb ram 2X8
Corsair TX series CMPSU-750TX
Gygabyte GA-277X-UD3H MotherBoard
Got borderlands 2 for free
Cm Storm Stryker white case
Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 1tb

Looking at easy tune CPU on idle is at about 26C - 28C game I have been playing is Counter Strike source global offensive and it
climbs up to 38c - 39c I mean I heard Ivy runs a little hot but are these temps ok ??? Am I safe to overclock ? Anything else I should add?

I am looking into overclocking but I don't if I am safe with these temperatures.

Any advice would be great !!!

Thank you so much guys!!!!

Temps are completely fine. They're quite low actually. Expect to overclock pretty well, hoping that you have a good chip that doesn't require high voltage.

High is something like 80-90.

Temps are good- great actually. You could do some light overclocking, just keep an eye on your temps- keep them below 65C

Enjoy your custom rig!

Those temps are perfectly fine and you have plenty of room to overclock as long as your not running the stock intel cooler. Safe range is where your comfortable but I try to keep mine under 75C,. I currently have mine clocked to 4.5 ghz and 1.28 vcore and its running between 65-70c at 100% load with an h80 for cooling. I'm installing an open loop tonight and hope to overclock to 4.8 ghz.

general rule of thumb is not to let the temps go above 80 degrees when using a stress/stability testing program, like Prime 95.

I usually dont take mine above 85 degrees when its on prime 95 because nothing else gets the temperatures that high from day to day use.

He means piecing water cooling components separately, basically a custom water cooling loop, instead of a pre-built (cant open the water cooling components without warranty void) cooling solution.
