hey guys, I am in the process of building a new computer for a customer of mine. He is building a new computer for his son for christmas.

Ill keep it short and sweet.

Primary use is gaming, but it will also function as the households basic pc(web browsing, email, word processing, video playback, etc.)

Customer as not given me a budget yet so i am trying to keep it rather moderate. This computer will never be overclocked and customer said he hopes to get at least 3 years out of it before upgrades are needed. He also stated he would like it to play all of todays game titles and titles yet to come. I will get more in depth with him once we meet again.

Here is what i slapped together to being with.

CPU: i53470 http://microcenter.com/product/400664/Core_i5_3470_32GHz_LGA_1155_Boxed_Processor

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 http://microcenter.com/product/387554/Z77_Extreme4_LGA_1155_Z77_ATX_Intel_Motherboard

RAM Corsair Vengance 8Gb http://microcenter.com/product/354611/Vengeance_Series_8GB_DDR3-1600_(PC3-12800)_CL9_Dual_Channel_Desktop_Memory_Kit_(Two_4GB_Memory_Modules)

GPU: EVGA GTX 670 http://microcenter.com/product/393197/02G-P4-2678-KR_NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_670_FTW_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card

SSD: Crucial M4 128Gb http://microcenter.com/product/364545/m4_CT128M4SSD2_128GB_SATA_60Gb-s_25_Internal_Solid_State_Drive_(SSD)_with_Marvell_Controller

HDD: Samsung F3 1Tb http://www.frys.com/product/6473452?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

PSU: Corsair Cx600 http://microcenter.com/product/399983/Builder_Series_CX600_600_Watt_ATX_12V_Power_Supply

Optical: Anything under $20

Customer will choose the case.

what do you guys think of this updated lsit?

total price: $ 968

EDIT: New notes....customer stated he prefers Nvidia over AMD even at a higher cost. Still no actual budget limit has been given to me.

I think it has to be made public.

Either that, or you can just take a .PNG-formatted screenshot (best image quality).

Or, provide individual links is cool too.  Except, that could be more work because it's best to also make sure to say what each link is pointing to instead of only posting the links.

This. He won't need a 3570k because he won't be OC'ing or doing anything that will use 4 cores. Motherboard should be enough for simple work. GPU and SSD are a great choice and the 2TB HDD leaves him tons of space.

Now it brings me to my personal saved wish lists.

It might be best to just provide individual links, or use PCPartPicker.
