How high can i overclock?

Thread Starter
hey, i gutta 2.13 e6400 c2d, overclocked to 2.28 at the moment using the stock cooler and 4 fans around the box. the CPU voltage hits about 54 degree Celcius at full load. how much higher can i clock it to, and should i wait a while for the processor to break in, ive had my system up and running for about 3 days so far, but not on all 24/7.

55C is usually maximum, not sure about conroe, but i wouldnt let it go over 55C just incase, wait until you can invest in some good cooling, would hate to see you destroy that cpu

Icedearth is right. You need to get a better cooling before you can even go further. All your parts are great except for the cpu cooler.
