post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
Greetings!

What 115 mobo would you recommend to me (budget 200$) that;
has at least 4 x sata 6gb (or more)
Crossfire X

Which 1155 CPU would you recommend (budget 250$)

Everything else I have (graphics cards, hard drives, psu etc;)

I've been out of the loop for the last couple of years with the latest and greatest so I need some refreshers...I think I know what I should get but getting insight from you guys will help me make a decision

When are you building? Z77 boards offer only 2 SATA 6 Gbps ports natively. Everything else is controlled by a third party controller tied to PCI-E x1 lane. You might want to wait for Haswell (about 5 months from now).

Otherwise, Z77X-UD5H, ASUS P8Z77-V PRO, or ASUS P8Z77-V will do. Or wait for UD4H to be released.

Unless you will be using 4 separate SSD drives, then 6Gb Sata is useless.

No HDD today can take full advantage of 3Gb Sata. And i doubt you will be using hyper drivers. Hyper drive is a mix of SSD and HDD in one.

All Z77 mobos can do Xfire and SLI. So buy what ever looks cute and with in your budget.
