6 months out sounds so damn long. -_-

Must resist urge to upgrade to dated hardware.

That article is dated...I wish these companies would just come out and say when.

Does your budget include what you plan on getting for the used video cards in resale?

I am not selling my 460s. My wife is getting them.

Ah, okay. I was asking because with the sale of those you could feasibly afford two 7950s, which are going for like $280 after rebates.

With your budget though, and if you plan on going with a triple monitor setup in the future... I'd get a cheaper 7950, and then buy another one when you have the money. That's exactly what I am in the process of doing. My budget was more than the 7950 cost, but I went with one now and plan on grabbing the second here right after christmas.

I was in a similar situation the other day and decided on the Gigabyte 7950 Windforce which should arrive tomorrow. Apparently they overclock really well and can perform better than a 670 on the latest drivers. AMD also have a deal on at the moment where you get 4 free games (Hitman, farcry 3, Sleeping dogs and dirt showdown) from certain retailers. I'm unable to give my true opinions until I receive the card myself and see how well it performs.
