What 1600 quad channel ram for The NH-D14?

Thread Starter
Can anyone tell me if they are using ram in 32 / 64 gb under a NH-D14 the mother baord will be asus p9x79 pro so the rams on both sides :S - having trouble finding it - the NH-D14 ram clearance list is a bit old too so does not have some of them.

Is it right for me to think anything under 4.3mm ram height is ok or can it be higher?

Thanks!

Get the Samsung 30nm rams, you'll never have to worry about ram clearance anymore. And they overclock quite well too.

Noctua states shorter than 42mm for the nh-d14.

The second link is newegg.

This memory is 40mm tall, and the only officially supported quad kit (as of this writing) that fits the necessary height. There are other 32 GB kits, but you would have to remove the heat sink fins.

Obviously, you cannot install the fan kit. A blog stated that 2400 is only obtainable after bios update.
