No matter what one says about keeping a case (at least as their main build) is kidding themselves especially to most that post in this forum. biggrin.gif

Just go with what you like now at the moment and let fate decide later on. smile.gif

How about a Cooler Master HAF XB case, it's different and innovative.

That case looks very small, kinda cool in it's own way but would the cooling be alright and would it hold a standard board and the cooler I'm using?

Please read this thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1329750/the-cooler-master-haf-xb-club/0_100

It comes with two 120mm fans in the front and 140mm fans can be installed instead which though have to be mounted on the other side of the mounting plate - you'll see why in the thread or you'll need to mod the backside of the front panel.  Otherwise a great case IMO which I'm going to do a transfer build for my brother.

Just look and decide for yourself and also as my advice most importantly take your time deciding of what case to purchase whatever may be. smile.gif

well, the primary differences between a case from 10 to 15 years ago and a case made today are:
1. 120mm or bigger fans instead of 80mm fans
2. inclusion of front panel USB/USB3 ports.
3. much lighter gauge steel is used today.
4. colors other then beige biggrin.gif
5. consideration for liquid cooling and cable management. and air filters are more common these days too.

that's about it... you can still install a computer into an ATX box from 15 years ago if you really wanted to... it's still the same size and placement of screw holes.

I decided to get the haf xm (haf x is way too heavy for import costs). Dust filters everywhere and the airflow seems to be really good.

It's just Amazon sucking at updating their information as usually.

NewEgg

I like anything Corsair, I want the 600T but all of their cases are good, like Cooler Master and NZXT.
