^^Anyone had experience with these? I'm trying to decide which one would be best for me. They would be used for a combination of music and gaming.

I have a pair of RX900s right now. I love these bad boys. The only con I could see is that they're heavy on the head, which some people might not prefer. I don't have a preference either way, but the weight doesn't bother me at all, personally. The SR850s look like they are a bit lighter in weight than the RX900s.

As far as sound quality, I can not compare it to much else since my experience with headphones isn't that extensive - and by that, I mean these are the most expensive headphones I've purchased to-date. They sound absolutely great though (obviously better than anything else I've tried, including speakers), and I've read a lot of reviews of people saying they sound better than anything else out there for $50-60. I haven't really read any negative reviews of the RX900s outside of people receiving some lemons.

For sound quality though, some of it is preference, and of course the quality of your sound card.

That seems to be pretty much what I've been finding out. Will It make any difference whether I get a soundcard with these?

If you're currently using an onboard sound card, yes, a dedicated sound card will make a difference.

The ASUS Xonar DX is what I use (because I needed a PCI x1 sound card) but the Xonar DG seems to be a popular sound card for a limited budget.

I've decided to go with the Sr850's after looking at some more threads and reviews. I've also found out that they are almost the exact same as the Superlux HD668b but I was wondering were there any real differences that would make me consider one over the other?
