Somebody answer me this question (relates to VRAM and system RAM)

Thread Starter
Ok, I just RMA'ed my laptop for a replacement. It's this laptop here.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152378

I should be getting a new replacement LT next week.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure this laptop had 1600mhz DDR3 system RAM. But the video card has DDR3 VRAM that's clocked only at 900mhz. WT F.... the system RAM is faster then the VRAM???? That makes no sense at all.

I know Nvidia put DDR3 in some laptop video cards to gimp the card and give people a reason to spend more $$$ on laptops with DDR5 video cards. But really.... the system has faster RAM than the video card?

This is partially a vent but (and this is the question) am I seeing this situation correctly or do I have the terminology mixed up?
