Should I? Arf sucks I already bought a msi 7970 for 300 after 30 mir...
If i can sell all the games, I could get 70 from that and the card might only cost me 190$ after mir, tax & shipping.
So. Mega. Tempted.

Depends on what the pcb is like? If it's a revised MSI special, do not want. If it's reference, go for it.

Usually the msi non-reference PCB are made as well or better than reference, they aren't xfx...

Locked TF2/3 like with Cayman? Overheating Lightnings, etc? Then there's the slightly revised but with cheaper caps board also. Again, do not want if its like any of that.

I don't usually look at the mid-range stuff too close, locked does suck. I did read about one lightning overheating, dunno if it was a user thing or not, but that isn't normal (Occasional lemons do happen, with all manufacturers).

I didn't know MSI was doing the non-reference PCB with cheaper components thing, that is the reason I don't look at any XFX non-reference boards. I'd have to agree, if that is the case do not want. Which card was that?

Most of their non-ref PCB are still better than reference though, I'll pay a bit extra for a Lightning & haven't been let down yet.

MSI have a reference "looking" card, but the cooler is more of a modern/angular look. That's the cheapened pcb. They and Powercolor were the first to start doing that actually, not XFX on 7970s. It's ironic.
