Computer?:
~~Sig-Rig "My lady Radeon"

Whats happening?:
~~Well the computer starts fine and runs fine for ooo, about an hour ± 15 minutes then any program running stop responding and the computer stops responding. sometimes windows explorer stops responding and the only thing I can do is hold down the power button to force shutdown and restart the computer.

What have I done?:
~~I checked overheating, no problems
I checked wire connections, no problems
I checked RAM, no problems.
I made sure everything was hooked up properly, they were
I did a system restore (unfortunately that reset me to about a year ago) but the problem persists.
I then did a fresh install, the problem persists.

What I am thinking:
~~I talked with others and came to thinking that its ether the Graphics card going bad or the SSD going bad.

I have 2 new hard drives coming and I'm going to try to install windows on it to to see if the problem persists

does anyone have any useful ideas? Thank you!

When you say windows explorer stops responding, does that mean the bar at the bottom (or top depending on where it is) disappears? Because if so, then it is probably your SSD.

A similar situation happened to me once. I was messing around with stuff when I had my computer set up on a box testing stuff and I hit the SSD causing it to unplug slightly and then everything went away and the only thing I could do was power off by reseting the PSU.

To rule out your GPU, do you have another one you could use or a friends?

Could be the GPU as suggested above. While tedious, you could reseat everything. You could try using a different cable between your computer and monitor. You could try a different monitor.

In Windows, make sure that the "When I press the power button" option select shut down from the drop down. Then when you think it's frozen, push the power button (don't hold it) and see if it shuts down.

That's ruled out because he did a fresh install.

Try using a new hard drive. If that doesn't work then test using a spare graphics card.
