hi guys after many tutorials and reading various forums about overclocking an i7 870 i kept blue screening or hardware failure or something of the sort. first i fixed it with not using mixed ram. (was 2x2 and 4x4 now its just 8gb ripjaws) then i still could not boot all the way after making sure my multiplier and blk was what everyone else was using. finally i gave up and used the overclock utility that the bios from the motherboard gives out

its called smarttuner 6 or something haha and it actually has kept my computer at 3.8ghz (from the stock 2.9ghz) for about 6 months now. i just came back to this forum to see if theres anything i could do or anyone who can help guide me with the process the right way, i know these software overclocks do some harm by not adjusting the numbers right. so any tips? thank you
