cant figure this e6600 oc problem out

alright..so I have been working with the e6600 on the p5b...for some reason, I cannot, and I mean cannnot boot with the fsb on 400 mHz...my ram is ddr2 800 mHz, yet will not run at 800 mHz 1:1 with 400 fsb. If i come a little close to it, ie 366. and run memtest, I get all kinds of errors, and that is with the ram running at 366 mHz, not even the stock rating...HELP!

Did you note the batch number of the cpu before installing it ?
Mine has the same problem, and its nothing to do with the ram its the cpu, mine wont boot past 3.6Ghz but i can run up to 500Mhz fsb with a lower divider.

yeah it defaults to 1.8vdimm, so check that at 2.1 or 2.2 if you want, and did you change any of the timings, i think that stuff is suppose to be 4-4-4-12 so set that if you have changed them, also the rest of the timings if you messed with them should be like 4-42-10-10-10-10 or something like that

di you get any errors at stock speed by chance, and maybe try a reseating just by the freak chance they didnt seat right

edit: nevermind i was too slow
