For work I call ATT/Verizon/Sprint on a daily basis, and every time I have to call ATT I cringe.

Somehow they treat me (who is selling their services) like crap, while Verizon and Sprint on the other hand go out of their way to do whatever they can for me.

The 2 things that are keeping me from jumping Verizon's ship is customer service and coverage. I have to go to the deepest, darkest pits of Alabama to lose service, and even then, I lose service for a few minutes at most, not to mention their LTE and 3G coverage is unparalleled. Yes, their prices are high, but that's the price of having the largest and most comprehensive network in the nation. (That's not a gimmick, btw. Check the coverage maps between AT&T and Verizon.)

If Verizon loses their edge in CS, I will jump ship, but until then, I believe it's worth the price.

I live in NYC. Some opinions:

AT&T has terrible customer service, Verizon not much better.

AT&T has the superior 3g network. Verizon has the superior LTE network.

Both will continue to pinch data caps. I'd love to go project mayhem on them.

I've always thought verizon to be the worst of the bunch in terms of CS. ATT for me has had great coverage,service, and CS.
They're just overpriced.

I have always liked ATT. I recently upgraded to the SGS3 for free and I had 9 more months for my contract to expire so they let me do an early upgrade for free. Doesn't get better than that!

i think it's mostly YMMV..

My best friend had a line on my account. Shortly after, he passed away. I called up verizon to get the line cancelled. they were very sympathetic and didn't charge me a nickel for the termination fee.

NOW, if that had been att, I already know they would have said "Nope, fork up the 350 bucks".

Depends where you are. ATT has somewhat bad coverage in southern California. Sprint has absolutely terrible coverage here. DOnt know about TMobile or Virgin. Verizon is easily the best in coverage and speeds. If all other cell companies combined their entire coverage and data speeds, they *might* be almost caught up to Verizon in this area.
