Need a recommendations for a New subwoofer

Thread Starter
I recently purchased a new Definitive Technology - Mythos SSA-50 sound bar for $450. I picked up the Denon AVR1613 on black Friday for $250. The only thing left would be a sub. I am trying to keep the total under $1,000.

Could you guys recommend some good subs for $300 or less? Is there anything else I would need for this set up? Other than HT in a box, I have little to no experience with this stuff so any advice would be great.

Newegg has had the Klipsch rw-12d on sale for $299.99 multiple times recently. At that price range, the Klipsch is pretty good bang for buck.

Some people disagree with me, but I think the psw-505 is quite a good sub for the money. Goes for as little as $190 or maybe even $180 with a great deal. I would also consider a high quality 8'. It might not go as low but it will be a bit cleaner and better sounding. Also it could take up the slack of that sound bar, as it's all tweeters.

I have a PSW-505 as well. That thing can shake 3 floors of my dorm when it's cranked. I don't think you can really go wrong with it in its price range.

+1 to this. That Klipsch sub has caught my attention multiple times.

Keep an eye on Slickdeals for Klipsch alerts Slickdeals Klipsch Search

Otherwise, a lot of decent submissions here.
