PC Monitors: do you know of any good ones that are NOT wide? - Page 5

*EDIT* This is in regards to the Korean monitors, forgot to say.

You can pay an extra 100$ or so, and get a "Pixel Perfect" one. These are tested before they are sent and have 0 dead pixels. AFAIK, their return policy is that its worthy of refund or replacement if it has 0 dead pixels. However, you do pay a bit more. On the other hand, my friend purchased one of the ones that don't have this same return policy, the usual "If it has less than 5 in such and such area, its fine, dont complain" and his had 0 dead pixels. It all depends on your luck I guess, but I would rather pay the extra 100$ and be guaranteed to have 0 dead pixels.

Are the korean panels generally regarded as better than the dell ultrasharp u2412m? If not it looks like I'm going to have to spend more cash than I had orginally hoped? What is the next step up? I read there are very few 8 bit e-ips monitors but I couldnt find examples or thoughts on if it mattered. The dell is a 6 bit e-ips with a lot of antiglare on it... Too bad too, I really liked the part about it being 16:10.

Thanks again!
