[SOLVED] XIGMATEK Dark Knight II: fits ASRock Z77e ITX? - Page 4

the Dark Knight Night Hawk edition with it's stock fan is very quiet and cools very good, I have it running at full speed all the time,
and for overclocking you can add a 2nd fan.
if you think the fans are too loud when and if you get one Noctua fans are the best (IMO) and yes they cost more
but you get what you pay for, Noctua fans are 6 too 7 bucks less on Amazon then New Egg.

As mentioned earlier, the havik won't fit the asrock itx. Really good cooler though. Wish it did fit.

i've decided to go with the noctua n9b se2 because they fit the asrock z77e itx (with slight mods). also, i'm a bit more confident about noise levels on the noctua fan.

i really liked the ceramic coating on the dark knight, and it is one of the top ten coolers according to frostytech, but in the end i had to compromise without actually knowing if it'll clear the gpu with enough space to draw in air efficiently. by eyeballing it, it looked like the bottom fins will clear low profile rams, and fit just right up against the gpu. i emailed xigmatek but did not get a reply after a week, so i had to give up. shame.

thanks all!
