Upgrade or not to upgrade

Thread Starter
I have a fx8120 at the moment, and am looking into buying a 8320. My question is will be a good investment down the road or a waste of cash. I play bf3 a lot, burn movies, and audio cd's. I don't edit video at all. I just figured paired with my crossfire 7850's the 8320 would help out a lot in my gaming like maybe load times and what not. Any suggestions would be great.

Well a 8320 at 4.2ghz is like your 8120 at 4.5ghz and with less power consumption.

for these reason it sounds like a worthy investment to me.

it wont help in load times but you should get a slight increse in FPS and probably smoother game play me thinks smile.gif

Load times no. You need more speed from your SSD/HDD for that. As for slight higher FPS (like 5-10 more) and smoother game play and that is a yes.
FYI
I'm just telling you the facts, so the choise is yours. For me it is well worth it. I had a 8150 @ 4.7ghz.

I think I will go with the 8320. Thanks guys

Plus I cannot get my 8120 over 4.2 without the cores failing on prime. Gets to hot

Well with my 8150 @ 4.7ghz with 1.488v I was hitting 60c. With my 8320 @ 4.7ghz with 1.488v I'm hitting around 50c.
