Thread Starter
My friend might be heading to Australia and he said i could have his gtx 680. We both own the Asus direct CUII cards but he has the oc version i have the top version. What i'd like to know with my current setup would i have any problems.

EDIT

You would not have any issues. Just make sure you have great case air flow with those 2 big cards dumping air into your case thumb.gif

it`s dumb you have the better version and you change it, and of course you are bottlenecked w/ that cpu@stock speed

Ah I though you meant like compatibly problems. You have plenty of power but your cpu will hold you back greatly.

You will certainly see some heavy CPU Bottlenecking and I'd suggest getting the i7 going when you can, but absolutely jump on the deal.

You will have zero issues running both of those GPU's in SLI. The overclocking is no different from you manually overclocking them. You're good to go. thumb.gif

bottleneck with your cpu? who cares. either way you going max out any game using one card with your monitor anyways.

so yes buy the second one for now. even if you have a bottle you will have absolutely no difference from what you have now compared to two cards because your only using a 1080 monitor.

only issue you might have is air flow. your case is really good just make sure both 180 mm fans are being used. or if you can change your side panel to a mess panel, that even better..then you can turn one of the 180 mm fans off.
