Powercolor 7850 vs 7870 - Page 2

OP 5 monitor setup on a HD 7800 card is just not a good idea. on how many screens do you plan to play games. the minimum card you should be looking for triple monitor gaming is HD 7950.

also aswell scratch 5 monitors, i don't have the space for 5 just measured, will do 3 for gaming on the main amd card, and 1 extra for itunes, chrome, etc on some old nvidia card i have, looks like i'll be getting a single 7970, cheaper using less power, and less issues less heat,

Personaly if i were you (on a tighter budget) i would simply grab the 7950 and OC it up, it will easily surpass a stock 7970 for about 100$ less.

the 7950 is a good choice also over the 7870x2 because then youll have room to xfire another 7950 later on in your financial timeline.
i doubt a single 7950 will comfortably max most games on 3 monitors, but xfire ones should, so for now you could play medium, and xfire for extra eyecandy thumb.gif

My post really was pretty horrible, it's not like I suggested a 7950 over either of them. rolleyes.gif
Maybe you should go to school. Did I do it right? I'm sorry, I try to not act like a child online so I don't have much experience in childish retorts. thumb.gif
I did answer the question. And the only reason that I would need to go to school is to finish up my Master's. Already got a degree. rolleyes.gif
