I need a hard and fast suggestion that if acted upon, will not lead me to later regret.
PS. The P8Z68 V-Pro was heavily endorsed on this forum at the time of my research in 2011 when I need a new board.

asrock boards are incredibly reliable and have gotten a major quality upgrade in the last couple of years. they also have really helpful customer service which is always a benefit

Hi guys,
What do you think about me getting another Z68 board to replace my broken one?

I mean, by now i think there will be adequate knowledge about which Z68 boards are reliable, since it came out last year. All the bad eggs would have revealed themselves.

I am already seeing that Z77 boards are having issues with Sandy Bridge processors like my i5 2500k. I wont be able to upgrade CPU anytime soon so tell me what you think and what do you suggest?

A lot of people run sandy bridge on z77 with no problems.

Just as a heads up, the MSI m-power doesn't support offset overclocking. Actually, I don't believe any of their boards do. Something you might want to take into consideration if you don't want your cpu running at high speeds and high voltages when you aren't doing anything CPU intensive. Some people care, some don't. Just throwing out the info for you.
