Depends how badly you want to upgrade..do you feel bottlenecked by your current set up?

From what I learned from an intel engineer is haswell is be mainly an upgrade to the integrated graphics for me most part. when I spoke to him he recommeneded I get an ivy bridge as I have a good dedicated graphics card already... I had the same question for him whether or not I should upgrade to a 2500k or 3570k or wait till haswell... he recommended I go for the ivy

just thought i'd throw that out there... maybe ivy's will drop in price once haswell is released? perhaps that would be worth waiting for... but unless you really want the high integrated graphics, I'd say go ivy...

Interesting.........if they're mainly upgrading IGPU, then why the need for a completely new socket?

Like the idea of better integrated gfx but they're changing sockets toooo often imo. New mobo, cpu and possibly heatsink for every tick and tock.

from my conversation with him,

"As for SB/IV/HSW, you definitely don't want SB. IV is better performance and the same price at this point. HSW doesn't come out until June. It's only about 10% bump in cpu power. The big win with HSW is in integrated graphics. I'm guessing you have a dedicated GPU card? So you probably wouldn't really need HSW as opposed to IV."
