upgrade now or wait for haswell - Page 5

It honestly doesn't sound like your current setup should give you any issues if you want to wait it out for Haswell. If having the latest shiny is something you'd fell bad about missing out on, then that sounds like a perfectly reasonable course of action.

From what I learned from an intel engineer is haswell is be mainly an upgrade to the integrated graphics for me most part. when I spoke to him he recommeneded I get an ivy bridge as I have a good dedicated graphics card already... I had the same question for him whether or not I should upgrade to a 2500k or 3570k or wait till haswell... he recommended I go for the ivy

just thought i'd throw that out there... maybe ivy's will drop in price once haswell is released? perhaps that would be worth waiting for... but unless you really want the high integrated graphics, I'd say go ivy...

as one of the people said on this theard

Just so you know, Sandy didn't drop price. It dropped about 10 dollars. To this day, a 2500k is $219.99. Before Ivy, it was $229.99. I bet it will be the same for Ivy.
