New build Quick Questions. HAF X + EX420 or EX360?

Hey guys,

I'm looking at two kits by XSPC right now. The first is the EX360 w/ D5 pump/res combo, and the second is the EX420 w/ D5 pump/res combo. I have already bought most of the parts (in my sig). The ones I didn't yet buy are the WC components, the mobo, and the GPU. My question is: Will the EX420 rad fit inside the HAF X? I looked at the specs, and it -should- fit, but I'm not entirely sure how the space inside is laid out. Has anyone used this specific setup before? Any results/pics? I tired searching on here, but wasn't able to find any relevant information.

A second question: I have about $450 for a WC setup. I want my CPU and GPU cooled. So far my setup consists of the XSPC EX360 kit w/ D5 pump/res found here. It also includes a Koolance GTX680 block, and 2 swivel compression fittings. This totals to around $415, just under my budget. Do you guys suggest any improvements over this current system? I wouldn't mind switching to the EX420 if it fits. I work in a genetics lab, and we make our own DDH2O so I'm going to use that along with the included silver coil, so no need to buy the water or CuSO4.

Quick third question! Anyone know where to get this in stock? XSPC Razor GTX680 GPU Water Block

Thanks for the help guys!

The best place to figure out what rads you can fit in your case will be the haf x club --

The distilled water and biocide are probably the cheapest parts of any loop, but it's still awesome that you can use your own.

If you want to save some money, those are pretty expensive 90 degree fittings. Most of them will swivel, and can be had for $10 or so (but they won't be as pretty).

Looks like sidewinder has a similar block in stock-- silver instead of black. http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/xsragtfucogp.html

The EX360 because that would natively fit in the HAF X. The 420 is not a native fit, it would require some case modding.

There are very few cases that can natively fit a 420 radiator, and even then, 420 radiators do not have standardized fan spacing. Where one radiator would fit, another wouldn't.

As far as I know, there are very few cases that can fit a 420 radiator. One of those is the Switch 810.

Alright, so that solves on problem. Thanks! Now for the second. That cooler you guys referred to is the same exact model (aside from color) of the one I linked? The threads I've looked at state the black one is a version 2 of sorts of that cooler. If everything else (aside from the more expensive fittings) is alright, I'm gonna go ahead and purchase the products. Thanks for the help.

The exact part I was looking for (the XSPC Razor GTX680) water-block came in stock at a few retailers, so I just ordered that. All the orders are placed now.

I can't wait for this build. My employees at the business are calling me every few days saying "Hey Blaze, this giant box came in for you...". Clearly I'm very excited, hah.
